Next Irish quarterback? Weis isn't giving any clues
SOUTH BEND, Ind. Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis isn't giving any hints on whether someone has the inside track on replacing Brady Quinn as the Irish quarterback.
Weis has gone so far as to use coin flips to determine which of the four Irish quarterbacks will start during tomorrow's Blue-Gold game.
Zach Frazer will start for the Gold team, with Evan Sharpley taking the even-numbered series. Jimmy Clausen will start for Blue and alternate possessions with Demetrius Jones.
The start by Jimmy Clausen has been the most anticipated arrival at Notre Dame since Ron Powlus showed up on campus in 1993.
But Weis has gone out of his way to make sure it doesn't look as though he is handing Jimmy Clausen the job and hasn't allowed Jimmy Clausen to talk with reporters during spring practice.
